I really wanted to recreate this piece of Renaissance art called the Fallen Angel is an Academic oil on canvas painting created by Alexandre Cabanel in 1847. It lives at the Musée Fabre in France. The image is in the public domain, and tagged angels and satan. The L’Ange Dechu, or Fallen Angel, may be one of the hottest artworks ever made. A winged nude shields his face behind flexed arms. His mane of hair snaps in the wind, and brows curl over red-rimmed eyes and a tear of anger. His body, of course, is perfect. His posture appears reposed, but each muscle is flexed with potential energy. Cast from heave this is the moment before he rises again.
THE ORIGINAL CANVAS
i started by sketching the art i chose it took me about 20 minutes to do this because i only need a canvas on where i would follow from the lines, so it will be more easier to paint on them. Moreover, after sketching i started painting the skin using different skin tones to match the shadows on where would i put highlights and so on. After that i started to fill up the eyes on a more detailed theme and then i moved on unto the hair honestly the hair part is where i messed up because i am not good yet into creating a more realistic hair but still it looks good and for the last the background i fill it up with blue and black color. So upon creating this artwork the hardest part for me is the eyes because for me it is the most important to focus on and i had a lot of fun painting it.
